Environmental Education — पर्यावरणीय शिक्षा

Environmental Education (EE) वह शिक्षा है जो learners को environmental awareness, knowledge, attitudes, skills, and participation विकसित करने में मदद करती है — ताकि वे environmental issues को समझ सकें और solve कर सकें।

Definition (UNESCO, 1970): Environmental education is the process of recognising values and clarifying concepts in order to develop skills and attitudes necessary to understand and appreciate the inter-relatedness among man, his culture, and his biophysical surroundings.

Objectives of Environmental Education — EE के उद्देश्य

IUCN/UNESCO Objectives of EE (1977, Tbilisi Conference):

  • Awareness — जागरूकता: Develop awareness and sensitivity to the environment
  • Knowledge — ज्ञान: Acquire knowledge of environmental issues and concepts

Concept of Sustainability — सततता/स्थिरता की अवधारणा
