1. Nature of the ₹500 Contribution
Where GS Net Academy advertises a program as:
Course Fee: ₹0 / FREE
with an additional:
Registration & Academic/Logistics Support Contribution: ₹500
the ₹500 amount is intended towards registration, administrative processing, academic coordination, digital learning support, communication, technology, and/or logistics related to the program.
It should not be interpreted as a guarantee of:
- NET qualification
- JRF qualification
- Assistant Professor eligibility
- Ph.D. admission
- Employment
- Any particular marks or rank
Student outcomes depend on individual preparation and examination-related factors.
2. Read Program Details Before Payment
Before making any payment, students are requested to review:
- Course/program description
- Eligibility or intended audience
- Class mode
- Language
- Schedule, where available
- Live/recorded support
- Course validity
- Academic inclusions
- Contribution/fee amount
- Demo class, where available
GS Net Academy encourages students to watch the available demo class and understand the teaching methodology before enrolling.
3. General Cancellation Rule
Once a student has:
- Completed registration,
- Made the applicable payment/contribution, and
- Been provided access to the course, learning community, study material, live-class information, recorded resources, or other program benefits,
a change of mind or inability to attend classes will ordinarily not by itself create an automatic entitlement to refund.
This is because administrative and academic resources may already have been allocated to the enrolled student.
4. Cases Where Refund Review May Be Requested
A refund or payment correction request may be reviewed in cases such as:
A. Duplicate Payment
If the same student accidentally makes the same payment more than once, the duplicate amount may be refunded after verification.
B. Payment Debited but Registration Not Confirmed
If payment has been successfully received by GS Net Academy but the student’s registration cannot be processed due to a verified technical or administrative issue attributable to GS Net Academy, the issue will first be corrected.
Where service cannot reasonably be provided, an appropriate refund may be considered.
C. Program Cancelled by GS Net Academy
If GS Net Academy permanently cancels a paid program before providing the substantially promised service, affected students may be offered:
- Refund of the applicable amount, or
- Transfer to an equivalent program,
as appropriate.
D. Incorrect Payment
If a student demonstrably pays an incorrect or excess amount, adjustment or refund may be considered after verification.
E. Exceptional Circumstances
GS Net Academy may review genuine exceptional cases, including serious medical emergencies or other circumstances beyond the student’s reasonable control.
Such requests are considered case by case and do not create an automatic right to refund unless otherwise required by applicable law.
5. Situations Normally Not Eligible for Refund
Subject always to applicable statutory rights, refunds will ordinarily not be provided merely because:
- The student changed their mind after enrollment.
- The student stopped preparing for the examination.
- The student did not attend live classes.
- The student did not use recorded classes or study material.
- The student’s personal schedule changed.
- The student expected a different examination result.
- The student failed to qualify NET/JRF or obtain a particular score.
- The student joined another coaching institute.
- The student was removed for serious violation of enrollment/community rules.
- The student did not properly review the program description before payment.
6. Digital Materials and Course Access
Once downloadable or digital learning resources such as:
- PDFs
- Notes
- Recorded classes
- Test resources
- Course links
- Protected learning content
have been provided or accessed, refund requests based solely on change of mind may ordinarily not be accepted.
Nothing in this clause limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.
7. Class Schedule Changes
Academic schedules may occasionally change because of:
- Faculty availability
- Public holidays
- Examination schedules
- Technical problems
- Internet/network issues
- Academic requirements
- Unforeseen circumstances
Reasonable rescheduling, replacement classes, or recorded support will not ordinarily be treated as cancellation of the entire program.
8. Requesting a Refund Review

- Date of payment
- Amount paid
- Transaction ID
- Reason for refund/correction request

Requests containing incomplete or unverifiable information may require additional clarification.
9. Refund Processing
Where a refund is approved:
- It will ordinarily be made to the original payment method where reasonably possible.
- Banking/payment-gateway processing timelines may vary.
- Applicable payment-gateway or banking charges may be treated according to the circumstances and applicable law.
- GS Net Academy will communicate the approved refund status to the student.
10. Course Transfer
In appropriate circumstances, GS Net Academy may offer:
- Batch transfer,
- Course credit,
- Access extension, or
- Transfer to another suitable program
instead of a monetary refund.
Any such arrangement will require approval from GS Net Academy and acceptance by the student.
11. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Students are requested to first contact GS Net Academy for genuine payment disputes.
Submitting false, misleading, or fraudulent payment disputes or chargebacks may result in suspension of access and appropriate action.
This does not prevent a consumer from using lawful dispute-resolution mechanisms available to them.
12. No Selection Guarantee
Payment of any course fee, registration charge, academic contribution, or logistics contribution does not guarantee:
- Examination qualification
- JRF
- Assistant Professor eligibility
- Admission
- Rank
- Employment
- Any specific score
GS Net Academy provides educational instruction and guidance; actual outcomes depend on multiple factors beyond the academy’s control.
13. Statutory Consumer Rights
Nothing in this policy is intended to waive, restrict, or exclude any consumer right or remedy that cannot legally be waived under applicable Indian law.
Where any provision of this policy conflicts with a mandatory legal requirement, the mandatory legal requirement will prevail.
